Ode to (13 in. x 15 in.), was an ode to the creepy side of art. I wanted to create something different and creepy. I have always
enjoyed the scary and weird side of things and when Shannon, my professor, at the time gave us the opportunity to create
an illustration I chose the weird side of art. Tony Oursle was my inspiration for this art piece. I used Illustrator
to design the gargoyles. I chose gargoyles because although they are seen on churches, they are accustomed to being
creepy. As for the water fountain and after some research I settled on the classic waterfall. Rather than water the waterfall
is filled with blood. The multicolor object obove the waterfall was an ode to the rose window in gothic churches. Overall, my
art piece was an ode to gothic arthictecture, with a creepy spin on it.
